Looks good, i recalled having seen some scene with similar atmosphere from
you and found it in the 'Wilderness' IRTC round. 

I was already planning a sunset version of my current scene, but it will
be awfully slow to develop things...  

The RMF shows the typical effect of being quite flat between the ridges,
something usually decreasing realism a lot IMO. I tried to avoid this by
making it stronger.

I think that would look very good.

That would be interesting to see, i never tried heteroMF for water.  For
the water's color I think it would be quite important to make the sky less
uniform, during sunset, it should be much darker and more blue on the
opposite side and that would be visible in the reflections.

Sounds awfully slow for without radiosity.
